I came here not expecting much or to purchase a car. They were hospitable and very friendly. Also, they were not pressuring me on the sale. The salesman was very professional and worked with me and got me the car I wanted. My history credit was not as good, but they helped me get the car I wanted. Thanks to Isaac, Ian, and Ramy for a job well done.

The BEST , fastest quality customer service!!! I came home so satisfied I had to write a review . I was shopping around many car dealerships and no one came close to how helpful and professional these guys are. Fred Barile was absolutely wonderful and a man of his word from the get-go. He was fast and accurate and extreamly helpful in finding exactly what I wanted and doing everything it took for me to drive off in it! Toni Arceneaux in financing was also wonderful, friendly and professional. Both handled everything and took care of us, just like it should be. I am a first time buyer so it was a little tuff but they assured me they'd help me , and thats exactly what they did! Thank you! I will refer you guys always!

Kevin was outstanding. I was dealing with a leg problem at the time and had difficulty getting around. He was most accommodating, adjusting schedules when I needed to. He is an outstanding asset to Ken Grody Ford, and I have already recommended him to someone.

Bob was great and kept me informed. He even texted and called me when my truck was ready. Great experience and fairly quick for an express oil change while I wait.

Terrible customer service. Stay clear. The team at Ken Grody Ford Carlsbad takes month to respond to you, and they're incredibly rude and condescending. STAY CLEAR.

Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad was truly Awesome! My visit here was such a noteworthy one that I just needed to share it. My wife and I are getting ready to go into retirement and travel the U.S. and needed to buy a truck to pull our 5th Wheel trailer, so we went into Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad. We ended up getting exactly what we were looking for which was a brand new Ford F-250 Lariat Crew Cab 4X4 (diesel) and couldn't be more pleased. Every aspect of our experience at this dealership was an incredible. From the moment we arrived at the dealership we could feel the difference. Ian Schoenberger was our Sales Consultant and his friendly, pleasant demeanor instantly put us at ease. He was extremely professional and had an extensive background and knowledge of trucks, there towing capacities, capabilities and limitations. His vast experience in this area coupled his understanding of the vehicles we were interested in was exceedingly beneficial to us and helped us greatly in making the right vehicle selection for our needs. There was No Sales Hype, No Pressure, just a true willingness and desire to educate and help us in any way possible; it was really a breath of fresh air!During our visit we also had the very distinct pleasure of meeting and getting to know the Co-Owner and Vice President of Ken Grody Ford, Kurt Maletych. This guy is the Genuine Article! Over and above being one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet, he also has a true desire and real commitment in making sure ALL of his customers have the absolute best Car/Truck buying experience possible. I've been to several other dealerships in San Diego and none of them are even in the same league with this guy! (When was the last time you were at a dealership and the owner walks over and greets you and spends time with you?) The specific truck we were looking for wasn't readily available at his dealership, so he took a personal interest in our quest to help us find it. After an exhaustive search, that was no small undertaking, he was able to find a truck with the specific color combination we desired, the options and appointments we were looking and had it for us in just a couple of days. 07 F-150 Lariat debacle

in 2013 I brought my truck there due to ticking noise in engine. $2,400.00 and a new cam ,phaser and rocker arms on left side of engine late rmy truck was back to normal. Fast forward to june of 2015 and 40,000 miles later my engine developed a different noise. Again I went to this dealership as I trusted them from before. They replaced the cam and rocker arms on the same side of motor as before. This only cost $1,800.00, When asked they could not answer why the same parts went bad. The service advisor ,advised me to change oil at 3,000miles instead of factory specs of 5,000. I picked up my truck on a Saturday, 6/272015. I drove 25 miles in the next 6 days and things seemed normal. On Thursday 7/2/2015 I drove my truck 2.5 miles to the store and upon returning home the noise that I origanilly heard was back. I called the service center and nobody was available due to holiday weekend and being after 6:00pm. After 1 trip back to dealership they said no problem no noise but noise was normal and maybe the oil hadn't settled in yet. After second trip they said they didn't hear any noise aftert having my truck for 3 days. When I drove home that day and pulled into my drive way the noise was there. I went back that afternoon and meet with the shopforeman and he heard the noise and informed me that it was the cam phaser selonoids on both sides of the motor. After several days I had to call back for my estimate and had to be calld back because the servics advisor didn't have the quote yet. Several hours later I was told $1,800 but would knock off $400.00 of labor. $1,400.00 to repair what I had just paid $1,800.00 to repair. I filed a claim with the BAR and this has been going on for over 3 months. Dealership denies any fault, I haven't trusted my truck to drive since. I had a private mechanic quote me $450.00 to replace these selonoids but was hoping that Ken Grody Ford of Carlsbad would stand up and do the right thing. They havent and now thid Ford owner of 30 years will soon be driving a different make. I wouldn't take my bicycle there to be repaired. Oh and as a side note, my service advisor no longer works there. hmmm.....

Would not trust Ken Grody Ford Carlsbad!

On Monday, June 29, 2015 I saw a used 2009 Ford Ranger on the Ken Grody Carlsbad Website, I emailed them twice (Monday & Tuesday) to see if the vehicle was still available - no one replied back. So on Wednesday, I called the Dealership, they said they would check the availability and call me back. The Salesman, Berto called me back and said it was available. I told him I wanted to purchase the vehicle, but couldn't get down to Carlsbad until Friday morning. I asked if I could put a deposit to hold the truck until I could get there on Friday morning to purchase it. Berto checked with his Sales Manager. The Sales Manager said they would hold the truck if I left a $1000.00 deposit. I gave them my credit card number. Berto told me that 4 or 5 other people were interested in the truck too.On Thursday morning, I received a message to call Manny at the Dealership. I called him and he said they couldn't sell me the truck because suddenly it had "Mechanical Problems". I asked what was wrong with the truck? He said it needed a new clutch and there was a problem with the air conditioner. I said the truck only has 25,000 miles on it - it should still be under warranty. They should fix it! Don't they check out the vehicles BEFORE they sell them? He didn't answer. I was on their website while I was talking to him and saw that they had the truck now listed as SOLD! I asked - if the truck had mechanical problems, why is it listed now as "Sold" on their website? I told him that I don't believe him, I said I bet you sold it to someone else, didn't you? He said he was only doing what his Sales Manager told him to do. Then he hung up on me!I checked the CarFax record on the truck and it was checked out not once, but twice by Ken Grody Dealership before it was listed for sale.I sent 6 emails to Mr. Grody as well as Mr. Maletych about the situation - no response. I would not recommend buying a vehicle from Ken Grody Ford!!! They are dishonest!
